Moving Target Exploitation (MTE)
IET's research objective in support of Motion Pattern Analysis and Behavior Pattern Analysis (MPA/BPA) for DARPA's MTE program was to develop fusion architecture concepts that could effectively exploit Moving Target Indicator (MTI) reports and derived tracks for situation monitoring. I
n the course of this effort, IET scientists invented a theory of quasi-invariant MTI features and developed a prototype software component for named-area-of-interest-based modeling and monitoring that fuses MTI and derived features to infer opposition force activities. IET demonstrated that Bayesian Network monitoring modules could be developed and proved the feasibility of the fusion architecture concepts in a prototype laboratory system.
